PSS 2017 Help and Hope Fundraising Dinner

Guest Speaker: April Christina

April Christina grew up knowing that one day God would use her gift of song to minister to others.

But her teenage years took her down a road that could have ended it all.  At the age of 17, April Christina became a mother and life took on a new direction.  By the grace of God and a lot of hard work, April completed her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University in 1999.

April Christina is currently the Worship Leader at the Factory Church in Woodstock, GA. But worship isn’t limited to only Sunday morning for April Christina. One of the ways she displays this is through her heart and passion for equipping parents and cultivating families.

April Christina has dedicated her life to allowing God to use her experiences and testimony to build up and encourage mothers, especially single mothers, in their journey of parenting.  She has served as a mentor for at-risk youth, regularly facilitates parenting classes in her local community, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in social work.

April Christina has been blessed with the opportunity to use her gift to serve both in the studio and in live performances with several national and local recording artists such as Babbie Mason, Charles Billingsley, Joann Rosario-Condrey, Destiny Praise, and Chinua Hawk, just to name a few.  Her exposure to and love for genres ranging from Christian/Gospel Music to Jazz and Soul Music makes her appealing to any audience regardless of denomination, race, age, or ethnicity.  But her reach doesn’t end there.  Having been an “un-married” parent for the past 22 years, life’s trials and victories have afforded April Christina a message for the masses; a message of hope, redemption, perseverance, and unconditional love.

April Christina is the mother of two adult sons and currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia.

We look forward to seeing you there!
